1. Information We Collect

When you bring a device to Ubermac for repair, we collect the following information to provide our services:

• Name (first and/or last)
• Phone number
• Email address
• Mailing address
• Device information (make, model, issue description)
• Device credentials provided voluntarily for repair purposes

This information is collected in person at our shop location or via phone when you contact us about a repair.

2. SMS Messaging & Consent

By providing your phone number when dropping off a device for repair, you consent to receive SMS text messages from Ubermac at that number. These messages are transactional in nature and may include:

• Repair status updates
• Device ready for pickup notifications
• Part arrival notices
• Appointment reminders
• Follow-up messages related to your repair

Opt-Out

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After opting out, you will receive one confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent. To re-enable messages, reply START.

No Third-Party Sharing for Marketing

Your phone number and consent information will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to:

• Perform the repair services you have requested
• Communicate with you about the status of your repair
• Send transactional SMS notifications (with your consent)
• Process payments
• Maintain our business records

We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to your repair service.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We use Twilio to send SMS notifications. Twilio processes your phone number solely to deliver messages on our behalf and is bound by their own privacy policy.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to a valid legal request.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide repair services and maintain our business records. Device credentials provided for repair purposes are stored securely in our internal system and are only accessible to authorized technicians.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP

7. Security

We store your information on a secured, locally-hosted system at our shop location. We take reasonable precautions to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Terms of Service

Services

Ubermac provides Apple device repair and maintenance services. By leaving a device with us for repair, you authorize us to perform the requested service and any diagnostics necessary to complete it.

Device Credentials

Any passwords, Apple IDs, or credentials you provide are used solely to perform your repair. We do not store or use these credentials for any other purpose. You may change your credentials after your repair is complete.

Payment

Payment is due upon completion of service before device pickup. We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods as posted in our shop.

Unclaimed Devices

Devices not picked up within 30 days of repair completion and after reasonable notice attempts may be subject to storage fees or disposal in accordance with applicable Florida law.

Limitation of Liability

Ubermac is not responsible for data loss that may occur during the repair process. We strongly recommend backing up your device before service. Our liability is limited to the cost of the repair service performed.

SMS Terms

By providing your phone number you agree to receive transactional SMS messages from Ubermac related to your repair. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes shall be resolved in Palm Beach County, Florida.
